The Ship was actually built by a father and Son team down the hill which was completed in the mid 70′s. The Ship was used as a tour boat for many years in the LA Harbor and in the Newport Beach areas before making it’s final trip up the Mountains to Big Bear Lake. The roughly 100 mile trip took a whopping 2 1/2 days and numerous permits before making it to it’s final destination to Holloway’s Marina where it has called home ever since. Always be on the lookout during the 90 minute tour because at any given time they have been known to shoot the authentic cannons off that can be heard half way across the Lake.
