People who travel a lot knows how important it is to pack go-to essentials like utensils whether it is by plane, boat or land trip. Exploring new places and trying different cuisines while travelling makes the trip more fun so you want to be always prepared especially if you’re going on longer travels.
Big Bear Lake is one of the best destinations on Winter because of the many activities it offers and even though it is a great place to go for vacation all year ‘round, snow lovers would enjoy the weather and the place more than in any season! There are lots of hotels, lodging houses and cabins you can rent to stay for the night or more and one of our favorite places to stay is the Northwoods Resort and Conference Center where you can enjoy the heated pool and prepare to be blown away by their delicious cuisines at Stillwells Restaurant!
So before you arrive at Big Bear, make sure you’ll have a lovely journey! When hunger strikes, make sure you’re fully equipped anywhere you are! Here are some essentials you should bring wherever you go:
Bring coffee if you need a quick caffeine fix so you don’t have to pay much in the airport or drive back to the nearest cafe just to buy one! You can also enjoy a cup of tea while waiting for your next flight. All you really need is a hot water!
If you’re going for a road trip, bring reusable containers that you can just wash and use. You can store food and fruits inside a plastic container so you’ll not worry if they spill or get crushed. When it’s time for you to head back home, you can buy your favorite dishes and store them as well so you’ll have something to eat while on the road. That burrito will be better sealed in a reusable container than just in a plastic wrapper!
If you’re the kind of person who doesn’t want to bring a lot when travelling, consider bringing a “spork” instead of the plain old spoon and fork combo! A spork just work just as fine without the extra bulk! Eating spicy instant noodles at the airport, grabbing take-out meals while on the road and mixing powder drinks is so easy with just the right utensil. Go for a metal spork instead of the plastic ones so you can wash it and just slid it in your bag. It even fits in your purse!
Bring travel or pill towels instead of stocking up on tissues! They absorb water and clean better than tissues and it has so many uses so there’s no reason not to bring a few pieces! Pill towels are great for on-the-go travelling especially if you’re bringing the kids! Plus it doesn’t take up too much space in your handbag!
